Thierry Henry has criticised Manchester United defender Leny Yoro for a strange moment during their 4-1 loss to Newcastle United.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, Henry joined Jamie Carragher and David Jones to analyse the Premier League weekend. While reviewing Newcastle’s third goal, scored by Harvey Barnes, Henry noticed something unusual.
After Barnes scored, Yoro turned to look at the linesman instead of reacting to the play. Henry was shocked and said he had never seen anything like it.
Please stay on Yoro and what he’s asking for. I don’t know what he’s looking at. Are you hoping the linesman bails you out? We all know it’s a goal, Henry said on Sky Sports.
Keane Also Reacts to the Goal
Roy Keane, speaking during Sky Sports’ Super Sunday, also criticised the defending. He praised Barnes for the goal but questioned why no United player tried to stop him.
Barnes is brilliant, but someone’s got to tackle him. Two weeks ago, it happened at Forest too. A player runs through the middle, and no one stops him,” Keane said.
Keane added that United are making too many mistakes and not working together as a team.
If one player slips, another should cover. But no one is covering each other right now.
