Reddit is currently grappling with widespread international outages, according to NetBlocks, a global internet monitoring organization. The disruptions, which began Thursday evening, are not linked to country-specific internet restrictions or filtering, NetBlocks clarified. However, the issue has sparked a surge of reports, with Downdetector registering over 47,000 complaints at the time of writing.
Many Reddit users have taken to social media platforms like X, Threads, and Bluesky, sharing their struggles with accessing the site. Despite these widespread reports, some users—including the writer—haven’t encountered any issues, with the site working smoothly across multiple devices, including Old Reddit and mobile browsers.
Interestingly, Reddit’s official status page continues to show all systems as “operational,” leaving many to question the scale and cause of the disruptions. As of now, Reddit has not provided a comment on the situation, and it remains unclear when the issue will be resolved.
